- 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Continue boiling for 3 minutes.
- Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the crackers. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and let sit for 2-3 minutes until melted. Spread the chocolate evenly over the caramel layer.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Use aluminum foil for easy removal.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top before cooling.
