Ingredients
Scale
- 1 prepared angel cake, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey or corn syrup
- Optional toppings: chocolate sauce, caramel, or chopped nuts
- Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
- Begin by cutting your ready-made angel cake into uniform bite-sized pieces.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to make the cinnamon sugar coating.
- Dip each angel cake piece into melted butter, then roll generously in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place coated bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden. Alternatively, fry in hot oil until crispy and drain on paper towels.
- While still warm, drizzle with honey, caramel, or chocolate sauce. Serve immediately or after cooling for a sweet, crunchy dessert.
Notes
- Use fresh angel cake for the best crispy texture.
- For added flavor, sprinkle with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream before serving.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven or microwave to restore crispiness.
