Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, overhanging for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next.
- Mix in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt until silky. Sift in the flour and fold gently until no lumps remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is deeply caramelized and the center jiggles slightly.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in batter.
- Use high-quality ingredients for best flavor, especially heavy cream and vanilla.
- Avoid overmixing to maintain the ideal custard-like texture.
- Store refrigerated for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
- Reheat slices gently or allow to come to room temperature before serving.
