- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (110°F or 45°C)
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining it with warm water and sugar; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the risen dough and transfer it to a baking sheet.
- Spread marinara sauce on the dough, add mozzarella cheese, and your favorite toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freeze leftover slices wrapped in plastic and foil for up to 2 months.
