Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined. Fold in blackberries gently.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla to make frosting.
- Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream and decorate with additional blackberries on top.
