Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (beef)
- 8 slices crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheese) – cheddar, cheddar blend, or your favorite
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional but recommended)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or full-fat milk
- 1 pre-made or homemade low-carb pie crust
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced pickles, additional cheese, or fresh herbs
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Cook bacon slices until crispy, then chop into small pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked beef, chopped bacon, onion (if using), shredded cheese, and the egg-cream mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Use a pre-made low-carb pie crust or make your own. Fit it into a pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
- Pour the beef mixture into the prepared crust, spreading evenly. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle additional cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
- If you prefer a crustless version, pour the filling into a greased casserole dish and bake accordingly.
- Add Parmesan cheese on top for a cheesy crust variation.
