- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup frozen corn (optional)
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, bell peppers, and garlic; cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in pizza sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in 1 1/2 cups mozzarella and corn (if using).
- Spread mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Separate biscuit dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into quarters and scatter over the casserole.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and Parmesan (if using) over biscuits.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
- Let cool 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

- For a quicker option, use pre-cooked ground beef or ground turkey.
