- 1 lb (450g) sliced steak
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups (950ml) beef broth
- 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions and bacon bits for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Add sliced steak, cook until browned.
- Stir in diced potatoes, cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in shredded cheese and heavy cream, cook until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper, serve hot garnished with green onions and bacon bits.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Use leftover steak for quick preparation.
