Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (optional, for toasting)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease and return the beef to the skillet.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and evenly distributed.
- Divide the cheesy beef mixture among the hoagie rolls, ensuring it’s well distributed.
- If desired, brush the outside of each roll with melted butter and toast in a skillet until golden brown, or broil for a minute or two. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Cheese Variety: Experiment with different cheeses like provolone or pepper jack.
- Add Veggies: Incorporate sautéed bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms for added nutrition.
- Spice It Up: Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
- Bread Options: Use ciabatta or French bread instead of hoagie rolls for variation.
