Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
- Optional: chopped herbs like parsley or thyme
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a spoonful of shredded cheese in the center, then mold the meat around the cheese to seal it. Repeat for all mixture portions.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the meatloaf bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the exterior is golden brown and cheese inside is melted and gooey.
Notes
- Ensure the meat mixture is well combined to keep bites moist and flavorful.
- Use different cheese varieties for varied flavor profiles.
- For a crispy finish, consider air frying the bites.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in microwave, oven, or air fryer for best texture.
