Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Β½ cups of granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- Β½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- Β½ teaspoon of baking powder
- ΒΌ teaspoon of salt
- Chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
- Wookiee-inspired decorations (candy eyes, marshmallows, furry edible decorations)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease your baking pan with nonstick spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely before decorating.
- Once cooled, cut into rectangles or squares. Decorate with candy eyes and marshmallows to resemble Wookiee faces. Use edible furry decorations or shredded coconut tinted with food coloring for hair accents. Add facial features with icing or chocolate for extra detail.
Notes
- You can substitute coconut sugar for regular sugar for a healthier option.
- Use gluten-free flour if needed for a gluten-free version.
- For vegan brownies, replace eggs with flaxseed eggs and use dairy-free butter or oil.
