Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar with cinnamon for coating.
- Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls, roll in cinnamon sugar, and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Do not overbake for chewy texture.
