Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 8 oz of mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of strong brewed coffee (cooled)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Ladyfingers or sponge cake layers
- Optional: dark chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the melted chocolate chips and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mascarpone mixture for a light, airy texture.
- Dip the ladyfingers briefly into the cooled coffee, then layer them in a glass dish or individual cups. Spread a layer of the chocolate mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers until the dish is filled, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone cream.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to set and develop full flavor.
Notes
- Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer flavor.
- If you prefer a less sweet tiramisu, reduce the powdered sugar amount.
- Garnish with fresh berries or whipped cream for added elegance.
