Ingredients
Scale
- 500g ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 egg
- 50g breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter or oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, egg, breadcrumbs, mustard, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley. Mix well.
- Knead the mixture with your hands for a few minutes to ensure it binds well.
- Divide into equal portions and shape into oval or round patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with mustard, potatoes, or in a bun.
Notes
- Use a mix of beef and pork for extra juiciness.
- Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes before shaping for better binding.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
- For a lighter version, bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
