  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter and cut in with a pastry cutter or fingers until mixture resembles crumbly sand.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
  5. On a floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle evenly over dough.
  7. Roll up tightly starting from the shorter side to form a log.
  8. Slice into 1-inch rounds and place on prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
