For the Cream Cheese Frosting
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- In a separate bowl, combine sugars, vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat softened cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until smooth and creamy.
- Once the bread is cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.

- Store the bread wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature.
- Refrigerate for up to one week to keep frosting fresh.
- Freeze slices individually wrapped for longer storage; thaw at room temperature before serving.
