- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil the macaroni until al dente, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add milk and cheeses, stirring until smooth and melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix the cheese sauce with cooked macaroni. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly over the mac and cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy on top. Serve hot.

- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or sautéed onions to the cheese sauce.
