- 6 croissants, sliced
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
- Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange sliced croissants evenly in a greased baking dish.
- In a saucepan, heat milk, cream, and sugar until just simmering; remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla. Slowly add the hot milk mixture to the eggs, whisking constantly to temper.
- Pour custard over the croissants, pressing down gently to submerge them. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving. Add fresh berries if desired.
Notes
- For extra chocolate flavor, add chocolate shavings on top before baking.
- Ensure croissants are slightly stale for better absorption of custard.
