Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare all ingredients by peeling and dicing the potatoes, slicing the sausage, and gathering your cheese and ranch dressing.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, sliced sausage, and a drizzle of olive oil. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread ranch dressing and sour cream evenly over the top, then sprinkle generously with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
- Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes to allow the cheese to bubble and turn golden brown. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for added flavor and color.
Notes
- Use smoked sausage for added flavor, but you can substitute with chicken or turkey sausage if preferred.
- For extra creaminess, mix in some cream cheese or additional sour cream.
- Feel free to customize toppings with bacon bits, green onions, or jalapeños for an added kick.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave for a quick meal.
