Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) of cut green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.75 oz) of condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned stuffing mix
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Ensure that the green bean mixture is evenly coated with the cream of mushroom soup.
- Pour the green bean mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- In a separate bowl, combine the stuffing mix with the melted butter. Sprinkle the buttered stuffing evenly over the green bean mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the stuffing is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
Notes
- Add Protein: Mix in cooked chicken or turkey for a heartier meal.
- Cheese Please: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the stuffing during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Spice It Up: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
- Fresh Veggies: Use fresh green beans instead of canned for a more vibrant flavor. Just blanch them before adding to the casserole.
- Custom Stuffing: Experiment with different flavors of stuffing mix, such as cornbread or herb-seasoned.
