Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of Oreo cookies (about 15-20 cookies)
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) tub of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- Milk (optional, for soaking cookies)
- Additional Oreos for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined to create the luscious filling.
- Lightly crush some Oreos and spread a layer on the bottom of your serving dish. Moisten with a splash of milk if desired.
- Spread half of the creamy mixture over the crushed Oreos. Repeat layers with remaining crushed cookies and the rest of the cream mixture.
- Top with crushed Oreos or mini cookies for decoration. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld and dessert to set.
Notes
- You can substitute store-bought cookie varieties like chocolate wafers or graham crackers if desired.
- For a gluten-free version, look for gluten-free Oreos or similar cookies.
- Make ahead of time for best flavor integration; it can be prepared several hours or the night before.
- If preferred, garnish with fresh fruit such as strawberries or blueberries for added flavor and presentation.
