Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare all ingredients: finely chop onions and garlic, slice mushrooms, grate Swiss cheese.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, milk, and egg. Mix thoroughly until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fold in sliced mushrooms, chopped onions, minced garlic, and shredded Swiss cheese. Mix gently to distribute evenly.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish or loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). For a crispy top, broil for 2-3 minutes.
Notes
- Allow the meatloaf to cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in microwave or oven until heated through. For longer storage, freeze slices for up to 2 months.
