- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush melted butter generously over the puff pastry and sprinkle evenly with sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract.
- Fold both edges of the pastry towards the center and then fold again to form a long log. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Slice the chilled log into 1/2 inch thick pieces and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- Store baked palmiers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- Frozen palmiers can last up to three months; reheat in the oven before serving.
- Experiment with fillings like chocolate or cinnamon for a unique twist.
