Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Pat dry the chicken breasts. Optionally, flatten them for even cooking.
- In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Brush chicken breasts with olive oil on both sides. Dredge in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F).
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with sides like broccoli pasta or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- For gluten-free, substitute with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed almonds.
- Spraying with cooking spray before baking can enhance crispiness.
- Broiling for 2-3 minutes at the end can add extra crunch.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F for best crispy results.
