Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 large bok choy, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté bok choy until it wilts slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then remove and set aside.
- Add more oil if needed and stir-fry the marinated beef in the same skillet for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Return the sautéed bok choy to the skillet with the beef, add oyster sauce if using, and stir everything together. Cook for another minute, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
- Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches if necessary.
- Prepare all ingredients before cooking for a seamless process.
- Adjust ginger and garlic to match your taste preferences.
- Serve immediately for optimal flavor and texture.
