Ingredients

- 1 pound white fish fillets (cod, sea bass, or tilapia work well)
- 2 bunches scallions, thinly sliced
- 2-inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 cups mixed greens (spinach, kale, or bok choy)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sugar. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved. SautΓ© half of the minced ginger and half of the sliced scallions in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant, then add the soy sauce mixture and heat through.
- Place the seasoned fish fillets in a steamer basket and steam over boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add mixed greens, and sautΓ© until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Use different greens such as water spinach for variety.
- Add a splash of Shaoxing wine for depth of flavor.
- Bake fish in the oven at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 12-15 minutes if you donβt have a steamer.
