Instructions
- Prepare the butternut squash by dicing it into small, uniform pieces.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper before adding cheese, diced squash, milk, and egg; combine without overmixing.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet and fry spoonfuls of the batter for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
