Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 30 dumpling wrappers
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/4 cup water (for steaming)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and crimp the edges to seal tightly.
- Line up the folded dumplings on a tray, ensuring they don’t stick together. Cover with a damp cloth to prevent drying out while you prepare the rest.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place dumplings in the pan and fry until the bottoms turn golden (about 2-3 minutes). Pour in water, cover, and steam for 5-6 minutes until the filling is fully cooked. Remove the lid and let the dumplings crisp up again for an extra crunch.
Notes
- Use fresh dumpling wrappers for the best texture.
- Don’t overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting.
- Keep the dumplings covered while folding to avoid drying.
- For extra crispiness, fry uncovered for an extra minute after steaming.
