Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour and knead until smooth. Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- While the dough is rising, slice the bell pepper, onion, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Mix the feta cheese with dried oregano.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone, layer with mozzarella, vegetables, and crumbled feta.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Let cool and garnish with fresh basil before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes for a crispier crust.
- Pair with tzatziki sauce and a fresh Greek salad for a complete meal.
