Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by activating the yeast with warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it froth for 10 minutes.
- Mix flour and salt in a large bowl, then gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface and place on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add your favorite toppings. Add oregano for extra flavor.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- If storing leftovers, wrap in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
- For best reheating, place in a preheated oven to maintain texture.
- Customize your pizza with your choice of toppings—from classic to gourmet.
