Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup Biscoff spread, melted
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and eggs. Melt the butter and Biscoff spread, then combine with the milk and eggs.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Roll the dough out and cut out doughnut shapes.
- Fry the doughnuts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain them on a wire rack lined with paper towels.
- Mix together sugar and cinnamon, then coat the warm doughnuts in the mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy with coffee or tea, optionally drizzling with melted Biscoff spread.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh ingredients.
- Do not overcrowd the fryer when frying the doughnuts.
- If you don’t have a doughnut cutter, use two different-sized circle cookie cutters.
- Store leftover doughnuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Experiment with different toppings such as chocolate glaze or sprinkles.
