Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked macaroni or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Optional garnishes: chopped parsley, extra cracked pepper
Instructions
- Cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and cracked black pepper.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drizzle the honey over the chicken and garlic mixture, stirring well to coat.
- Pour in the heavy cream or milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Add shredded cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with additional salt and cracked pepper as needed.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the cheesy honey-pepper chicken sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or extra cracked pepper for an extra flavor kick.
Notes
- Use freshly cracked black pepper for the best flavor.
- Adjust honey and pepper quantities depending on your spice and sweetness preferences.
- Mix different cheeses like Monterey Jack or Parmesan for more complex flavors.
- Add vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
