- 1 package store-bought or homemade cinnamon roll dough

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Optional: cream cheese frosting or vanilla icing for topping
- Fresh pecans or walnuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon whiskey. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5 minutes to meld flavors, creating a rich caramel-like glaze.
- Cook the bacon slices until crispy, then chop into small pieces. Drain excess fat and set aside. Brush with bourbon glaze before cooking for extra smoky flavor.
- Roll out the cinnamon dough and spread melted butter evenly across the surface.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the dough.
- Distribute chopped bacon evenly on top of the sugar mixture.
- Roll up the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal slices.
- Place slices in a greased baking dish and brush the tops with remaining bourbon maple glaze.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Once baked, drizzle with additional glaze or cream cheese frosting, and garnish with chopped pecans or walnuts if desired.
Notes
- For an extra layer of flavor, add cream cheese frosting on top before serving.
- Flavored bourbons like vanilla or cherry enhance the taste. Experiment for a personalized flavor profile.
