Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken wings in lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt for at least 1 hour (overnight for better flavor).
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place marinated wings in a single layer on a baking rack over a sheet pan. Bake for about 40 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Prepare the lemon pepper sauce by melting unsalted butter in a saucepan, then adding honey, remaining lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for a few minutes.
- Toss crispy wings in the lemon pepper sauce, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place wings in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through for retained crispiness.
- Can be made in an air fryer at 380°F (193°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
