Lemon Pepper Hot Wings are a zesty delight that make a perfect treat for game days or gatherings. Bursting with flavor and perfectly crispy, these wings will keep your guests coming back for more!

  • Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken wings in lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt for at least 1 hour (overnight for better flavor).
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place marinated wings in a single layer on a baking rack over a sheet pan. Bake for about 40 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. Prepare the lemon pepper sauce by melting unsalted butter in a saucepan, then adding honey, remaining lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Toss crispy wings in the lemon pepper sauce, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place wings in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through for retained crispiness.
  • Can be made in an air fryer at 380°F (193°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
