- 4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
- Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and a tablespoon of sugar. Set aside.
- Roll out chilled dough and cut into circles. Place into pie pans or muffin tins. Fill with apple slices and drizzle with caramel sauce. Cover with lattice or top crust, brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
