Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just blended.
- Divide the mixture into 4-6 small portions and shape each into a mini loaf or patty. Place in a greased muffin tin or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread ketchup or tomato sauce over each mini meatloaf for added flavor and moisture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). For a crispy top, brush additional ketchup during the last 5 minutes.
Notes
- Do not overmix the meat mixture to keep the meatloafs tender.
- Add your favorite herbs and spices for variation.
- Make mini loaves for quick cooking and easy portioning.
- For gluten-free versions, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
