- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter, then mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Sprinkle in baking soda and salt, then fold in flour until just combined. Stir in nuts if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 55โ60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- For a healthier twist, substitute half the flour with whole wheat or oat flour.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
