Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs ground chicken
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Ensure that the seasoning is mixed thoroughly into the ground chicken to pack every bite with flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard loaf pan. Transfer the chicken mixture into the prepared pan, pressing it down evenly to form a loaf.
- Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let the loaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Don’t Overmix: Mix just until ingredients are combined to avoid a tough loaf.
- Use Quality Ingredients: Opt for high-quality Parmesan cheese and fresh garlic.
- Check Internal Temperature: Ensure the loaf reaches 165°F (74°C) for safety.
- Let it Rest: Helps retain moisture and shape.
- Experiment: Try adding spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or different cheeses.
