Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean for juicy meatballs)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix until ingredients are just incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs using your hands or a cookie scoop.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook, turning gently, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or use a slow cooker for tender肉balls.
Notes
- For extra flavor, serve with marinara sauce or your favorite pasta.
- To freeze, arrange raw or cooked meatballs on a baking sheet, freeze until solid, then transfer to freezer bags for up to 3 months.
- If using ground turkey or chicken, adjust cooking time slightly and ensure they reach internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
