- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup of onion flakes
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté the diced onion in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat until golden brown.
- If making your own onion flakes, dehydrate sautéed onions until crispy.
- Toss the cooked pasta with sautéed onions and onion flakes, seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Plate the dish and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- Store onion flakes in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
- Leftover pasta should be kept in the refrigerator in a sealed container.
