Instructions
- Mix Warm Milk and Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients and Pumpkin: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Add pumpkin puree and melted butter, then pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead and Rise: Knead dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, softened butter, and pumpkin puree in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Assemble Rolls: Roll out dough into a ¼-inch thick rectangle. Spread pumpkin filling evenly, roll into a tight log, and cut into 1 to 1.5-inch slices.
- Bake: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and rise for another 30 minutes. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Make Frosting: Beat softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
