Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Dissolve the sugar in warm water and sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 8 minutes until smooth.
- Once the dough has risen for about an hour, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface.
- Spread tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving an edge for the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add your favorite toppings.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and bake the pizza for about 12-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- If you have leftover pizza, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, wrap slices in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag.
- Experiment with different cheeses or toppings for a unique flavor.
