Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 12 corn tortillas
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Toppings of your choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess grease.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the onion is softened. Stir in taco seasoning and water, bring to a simmer, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Warm corn tortillas slightly. Fill each tortilla with a spoonful of the beef mixture and fold in half.
- Heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet. Fry filled tacos until golden brown on both sides. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with favorite toppings.
Notes
- Use high-quality ground beef for better flavor.
- Do not overfill the tortillas to prevent breaking.
- Ensure oil is hot enough before frying for a crispy texture.
- Best enjoyed immediately for maximum crispiness.
