A quick and easy beef stir fry packed with fresh vegetables, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli, peppers, and carrots; stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Return beef to the skillet. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using).
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables; stir to combine and cook for 2 more minutes until heated through.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap vegetables based on what’s available; snap peas or snow peas work well.
  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
