Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli, peppers, and carrots; stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return beef to the skillet. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using).
- Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables; stir to combine and cook for 2 more minutes until heated through.
Notes
- Feel free to swap vegetables based on what’s available; snap peas or snow peas work well.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
