Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add spaghetti, and cook until al dente; drain well.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef. Drain excess grease, then add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Pour marinara sauce into the skillet, stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine drained spaghetti with meat sauce, then mix ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses in a separate bowl. Spread cheese mixture over spaghetti, sprinkle remaining cheeses on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or serve immediately after mixing.
Notes
- Use high-quality marinara sauce for enhanced flavor.
- Aim for al dente spaghetti to avoid mushiness.
- Adjust cheese amounts for desired richness.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicier kick.
- Skip the baking step if short on time and serve immediately.
