Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Pour into the skillet and mix everything together.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the beef mixture. Optionally, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.
- Bake uncovered for extra crispy tater tots.
- Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
