Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare the frozen sliced potatoes, ensuring they are separated and ready to layer.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the browned ground beef. If using, spread the cream of mushroom soup over the beef and finish with the remaining potatoes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for 45-50 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted. Let cool before serving.
