Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stirring until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
- Use ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and best texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or wrapped tightly for up to 2 days at room temperature.
