- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Β½ cup heavy cream
- ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain excess grease, then stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and orzo pasta into the skillet with the browned beef. Pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until orzo is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
