Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds high quality beef stew meat or sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Fresh lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Begin by cutting your beef into evenly sized bite-sized pieces. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss the beef pieces with half of the seasoning mixture to coat evenly.
- For extra flavor, heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a tablespoon of butter or oil. Sear the beef pieces for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. This step enhances flavor but can be skipped for a quicker version.
- Place the seasoned beef into your crock-pot. Add the remaining seasoning, melted butter, and minced garlic. Toss everything to coat the beef evenly.
- Set your slow cooker to low and cook for 4-6 hours until the beef is tender and infused with garlic butter flavor. Check periodically for doneness.
- Once cooked, stir in a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley for freshness. Serve hot.
Notes
- You can skip searing the beef for a quicker meal.
- Adjust seasoning amounts to suit your taste preferences.
- Fresh lemon juice adds brightness and enhances flavors.
